G-Protein Coupled Receptors: G-Protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) are membrane proteins involved in the pathogenesis of diabetes, high blood pressure, osteoporosis, etc.
Here, we are trying to study the conformational dynamics of the Glucagon Receptor, Glucagon-like Peptide 1 receptor, PArathyroid Hormone Receptor, Pituitary Adenlyate Cyclase Receptor and Secretin Receptor - All Class B GPCRs.
These studies will help in designing better drugs that target these receptors.

A type of G protein-coupled receptor that binds to glucagon.
The Glucagon Receptor is a protein found on the surface of cells that responds to the hormone glucagon. When glucagon binds to this receptor, it triggers a series of events within the cell that ultimately lead to an increase in blood sugar levels.
Glucagon-like Peptide 1 receptor
GLP-1R
The Glucagon-like Peptide 1 receptor (GLP-1R) is a protein found on the surface of cells that responds to the hormone GLP-1. When GLP-1 binds to this receptor, it stimulates insulin release and suppresses glucagon secretion, helping to regulate blood sugar levels.
PArathyroid Hormone Receptor
PTH1R
The Parathyroid Hormone Receptor (PTH1R) is a protein found on the surface of cells that responds to parathyroid hormone. PTH binds to this receptor and triggers various effects, including increased calcium absorption in the gut and release of calcium from bones.
Pituitary Adenylate Cyclase Receptor
PAC1R
The Pituitary Adenylate Cyclase Activating Polypeptide Receptor (PAC1R) is a protein found on the surface of cells that responds to various hormones, including PACAP. When these hormones bind to this receptor, they activate signaling pathways involved in regulating cell function and behavior.
Secretin Receptor
A type of G protein-coupled receptor that binds to secretin.
The Secretin Receptor is a protein found on the surface of cells in the digestive system that responds to the hormone secretin. When secretin binds to this receptor, it stimulates the pancreas to release bicarbonate, which helps neutralize stomach acid and protect the small intestine.
