This project studies how certain receptors in the body change shape when activated by hormones. These receptors are linked to diseases like diabetes and high blood pressure. Understanding how they work can help scientists design better drugs to treat these conditions.

G-Protein Coupled Receptors: G-Protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) are membrane proteins involved in the pathogenesis of diabetes, high blood pressure, osteoporosis, etc.
Here, we are trying to study the conformational dynamics of the Glucagon Receptor, Glucagon-like Peptide 1 receptor, PArathyroid Hormone Receptor, Pituitary Adenlyate Cyclase Receptor and Secretin Receptor - All Class B GPCRs.
These studies will help in designing better drugs that target these receptors.

Secretin Receptor
A type of G-protein coupled receptor that binds to the hormone secretin.
The Secretin Receptor is a protein found on the surface of cells in the pancreas and other tissues. It plays a crucial role in regulating digestion by responding to the hormone secretin. When secretin binds to its receptor, it stimulates the release of bicarbonate from the pancreas into the small intestine, which helps neutralize acidic chyme.
