This project studies how certain proteins on our cells change shape. These proteins are involved in diseases like diabetes and high blood pressure. By understanding how they work, scientists can design better drugs to treat these conditions.

G-Protein Coupled Receptors: G-Protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) are membrane proteins involved in the pathogenesis of diabetes, high blood proessure, skin cancer, osteoporosis, etc.
Here, we are trying to studying the conformational dynamics of Glucagon Receptor, Glucagon-like Peptide 1 receptor, PArathyroid Hormone Receptor, Pituitary Adenlyate Cyclase Receptor and Secretin Receptor - All Class B GPCRs.
These studies will help in designing better drugs that target these receptors.

G Protein Coupled Receptors are a large family of proteins found on the surface of cells. Glucagon Receptor
A receptor protein that binds to the hormone glucagon.
The Glucagon Receptor is a protein found on cells in the liver and other organs. When glucagon, a hormone released by the pancreas, binds to this receptor, it triggers processes that raise blood sugar levels. This is important for regulating energy balance and ensuring the body has enough glucose for fuel.
Glucagon-like Peptide 1 Receptor
GLP-1 receptor
The Glucagon-like Peptide 1 Receptor (GLP-1R) is a protein found on cells in the pancreas and other organs. It binds to the hormone GLP-1, which stimulates insulin release and suppresses glucagon secretion. This helps regulate blood sugar levels and plays a role in appetite control.
Parathyroid Hormone Receptor
A receptor protein that binds to the hormone parathyroid hormone.
The Parathyroid Hormone Receptor (PTHr) is found on various cells in the body. When it binds to parathyroid hormone, it triggers processes like calcium release from bones and increased kidney reabsorption of calcium. This helps regulate blood calcium levels.
Pituitary Adenylate Cyclase-Activating Receptor
PACAP receptor
The Pituitary Adenylate Cyclase-Activating Receptor (PAC1R) is a protein found on cells in the brain and other organs. It binds to the hormone PACAP, which has various effects including stimulating the release of other hormones.
Secretin Receptor
A receptor protein that binds to the hormone secretin.
The Secretin Receptor is found on cells in the pancreas and other organs. When it binds to the hormone secretin, it stimulates the release of bicarbonate from the pancreas, which helps neutralize stomach acid in the small intestine.
