TLDR; PROJECT SUMMARY AI BETA
This project has short tasks that test how well 'core22' works on different computer hardware. It helps find problems so developers can make 'core22' better for everyone.
Note: This TLDR is a simplication and may not be 100% accurate.OFFICAL PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project contains a variety of benchmarking systems (with adjusted numbers of steps per system to give equal time/WU on an RTX 2080) to test and benchmark core22.
These WUs are very short and just used to detect issues with various hardware to ensure we can continue to improve core22 on all hardware.
RELATED TERMS GLOSSARY AI BETA
benchmarking
The process of evaluating and comparing the performance of a system or component.
Benchmarking is a way to measure how well something performs. It's like a test for computers, software, or even factories to see how fast and efficient they are. This helps people decide which option is best based on their needs.
hardware
The physical parts of a computer system.
Hardware is everything you can touch in a computer. This includes things like the monitor, keyboard, mouse, and all the internal components like the processor, memory, and hard drive.
RTX 2080
A high-performance graphics processing unit (GPU) manufactured by Nvidia.
The RTX 2080 is a powerful graphics card used in computers for gaming and other visually demanding tasks. It's made by Nvidia and known for its ability to create realistic and immersive visuals.
core22
A specific version or iteration of a software core.
Core22 is likely a name given to a particular version of a software program's fundamental code. Software developers often use version numbers like this to track changes and improvements.
WUs
Work Units.
WUs stand for 'Work Units'. They are small tasks that computers can perform. Imagine them like individual pieces of a bigger puzzle that need to be solved.
