This project explores how changing the guide RNA (gRNA) in CRISPR-Cas12 affects its ability to cut DNA. By tweaking the gRNA, scientists hope to improve CRISPR's precision and understand how it works better. This could lead to more effective gene editing tools for treating diseases.

These projects simualte the CRISPR-Cas12 systems involving the CRISPR protein, DNA and guide RNA.
The aim of this project is to understand the effects of modification of gRNA and develop better guide RNAs.
This will provide us with a better molecular understanding of the Crispr mechanism.

Guide RNA (gRNA) is a crucial component of CRISPR gene editing. It acts as a GPS, directing the Cas enzyme to the precise location on the DNA where modifications are desired. The sequence of gRNA is designed to match the target DNA region.
