Class C Receptors Class C Receptors consist of human proteins that are involved in the control of neuronal signaling in the brain.
Overactivation/Inactivation of these receptors has been linked to Parkinsons, Anxiety, Depression, Pain Relief.
This receptor also shows significant importance when it comes to treating opioid addiction.
Through simulations we aim to understand the activation mechanisms of these proteins, giving us a way to probe into the pathogenesis of the disease, and design more effective anti-opioid drugs.

Class C Receptors
A class of G protein-coupled receptors involved in neuronal signaling.

Depression
A mood disorder characterized by persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and loss of interest in activities.
Depression is a serious mental illness that affects a person's thoughts, feelings, behavior, and physical health. Symptoms can include persistent sadness, lack of energy, changes in sleep and appetite, difficulty concentrating, and thoughts of death or suicide.
Pain Relief
The act of reducing or eliminating pain.
Pain relief, also known as analgesia, involves the use of medications, therapies, or procedures to alleviate pain. It is a crucial aspect of healthcare, aiming to improve patient comfort and quality of life.
Opioid Addiction
A chronic and relapsing disease characterized by compulsive opioid drug seeking and use despite harmful consequences.
Opioid addiction is a serious health problem that involves the development of dependence on opioid pain relievers. It leads to cravings for the drug, withdrawal symptoms when trying to quit, and continued use despite negative consequences for physical and mental health, relationships, and finances.
